About the role:

Reporting to the Superintendent, Processing, the Administrative Assistant, Plant is responsible for clerical support for the Plant Operations, Maintenance and Facilities departments.

To be successful, we are looking for someone with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; someone who is a motivated self-starter, works well with a team, and who can professionally manage confidential material. This role requires someone who is organized, has strong attention to detail, can learn new tasks quickly, and is able to prioritize contending demands in a fast-paced environment and a passion for continuous improvement.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Provide administrative support and complete day-to-day clerical duties such as data entry, filing, scanning, scheduling, inventory management, and month end reporting obligations
  • Track Key Performance Indicators for daily and weekly reports for Senior Management
  • Organize and update employee lists and document libraries for the plant departments
  • Track and input hourly employee leave entitlements, and employee and contractor time data
  • Schedule monthly safety meetings, process and post safety meeting minutes, update safety action logs, and provide file management for all safety documentation
  • Maintain and distribute all safety and internal communications for the Plant departments
  • Plan and execute employee events such as fundraising BBQs, employee recognition dinners and Christmas Parties as required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years clerical experience in a fast paced, industrial environment
  • Strong digital literacy, data entry capabilities, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite®: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint
  • Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics AX would be an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
