About the role:  

Reporting to the Manager, Environment, the Administrative Assistant, Environment will coordinate and support activities within the Environment department to meet compliance commitments and efficient operations.  

To be successful, we are looking for a self-starter with strong interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills. This person will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail, and can adapt, multi-task, prioritize tasks and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies 
  • General administrative duties including organizing and supporting the day-to-day tasks of the department as well as coordinating meetings, training, and events
  • Manage & lead document management and the departments’ SharePoint site
  • Update and maintain documents, policies, and procedures  
  • Support site compliance by tracking and reporting on compliance commitments  
  • Support budget and strategic planning process for the Environment department  
  • Support development and implementation of process and business systems improvements  
  • Collaborate with other departments, sites, and Business Units to support sustainable mining 

Requirements:

  • Certificate or diploma in administration or business-related discipline, or a combination of relevant schooling and experience 
  • Knowledge in information management and document control
  • Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines with minimum supervision
  • Experience in office administration and business improvement is an asset
  • Strong digital literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite®: Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, Teams; experience in SharePoint is an asset 

Salary range: 59,000 - 73,000 CAD /year


The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
