About the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Occupational Health and Hygiene, the Lead, Occupational Health will support the ongoing improvement and consistent delivery of EVR’s Occupational Health Program, contributing to our commitment to everyone going “Home Safe, Every Day.”You will lead regional occupational health resources, oversee the occupational medical assessment clinic, and ensure compliance with the Diagnostic Accreditation Program.
As a uniquely high-impact role, you will work closely with H&S managers and senior leadership to implement regional priorities and shape the future of EVR’s Occupational Health Program. This role requires strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, with a compressed work week offering alternating Fridays off.

In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Supervise and provide clinical expertise though examination, education, and counselling in support of the Occupational Health Program
- Supervise and mentor the Occupational Health Coordinator
- Lead occupational health resources across the EVR Region
- Shape workplace health programs and strategies to promote employee well-being across EVR sites
- Develop and implement health programs, policies, and education initiatives
- Champion mental health by supporting the EVR Mental Health & Wellness Committee.
- Provide education and awareness on occupational hazards.
- Collaborate with site teams, hygienists, and external providers to advance occupational health standards.
- Manage medical services, track health data, and maintain equipment to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives or eligible for registration through inter-jurisdictional mobility (e.g., currently registered as an RN in another Canadian province or territory)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Occupational Health or Public Health Nursing
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN(C) designation or Nurse Practitioner designations are an asset
- Knowledge in health assessments, health promotion, industrial hygiene, and health data management
- Familiar with the key aspects of safety leadership and the importance of influencing skills
- Strong digital literacy, including Cority and Microsoft Office Suite®
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
