About the role:

For this role, we are specifically targeting professionals who have extensive coding experience and have an interest in the following: software development, data development, cloud computing, and mining technologies.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies  
  • Deliver high quality data solutions aligned to architectural standards
  • Design, build and deploy Data Products on Azure using modern software development patterns
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines frameworks in Azure DevOps
  • Solve complex technical problems with legacy systems to overcome roadblocks preventing data migration to the cloud platform
  • Provide and develop monitoring and performance metrics for solutions to measure and ensure performance KPIs are met
  • Drive coding best practices and set expectations for all developers on the team
  • Maintain application and system documentation
  • Identify and implement cost optimization strategies
  • Coach and mentor junior developers or students in processes and development projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, with experience in the data field
  • Minimum of five years of progressively senior level experience delivering and supporting software and analytical solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Azure or other Cloud Platform
  • Extensive experience working with programming technologies and languages especially C#/.net
  • Extensive experience with Azure services including Databricks, Eventhubs, Functions, Service Bus, Containers
  • Relational and non-relational data stores design and deployment, including data retention and archiving strategy.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of general computer controls related to operations, information security and change management of systems software, application source code, network, and system database technologies.
  • Strong cross-functional team participant and collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent 

Salary range: 108,000 - 133,000 CAD/ year


The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
