About the role:

Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Performance, the Senior Lead, Environmental Management Systems (EMS) provides leadership and oversight for EVR’s Sustainable Development Environmental Management System, ensuring alignment with HSEC&HR Standards and supporting consistent implementation across the business. The role is responsible for EMS governance, conformance, training, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen environmental performance.

The Senior Lead also serves as the administrator for the Glencore Sustainability Database (GSD), leading processes that support accurate, complete, and compliant sustainability reporting. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across EVR, the role drives data quality, reporting integrity, user training, and continuous improvement of sustainability reporting systems and processes.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Lead the development of best practices, policies, and procedures as required by the HSEC&HR standards
  • Support the implementation and continual improvement of an effective Environmental Management Systems
  • Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, quality control and alignment of EVR HSEC&HR platform
  • Is informed of regulatory changes, i.e. new regulations or permit conditions, to lead the management of change process to ensure implementation and compliance
  • Administer the Glencore Sustainability Database to support accurate and timely reporting in accordance with Glencore and EVR procedures
  • Interpret and communicate environmental performance metrics and trends to inform decision making and drive continual improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science or in one of the Earth Sciences disciplines
  • Will consider a diploma or education with relevant work experience
  • Minimum five years experience in the field of environmental management
  • Previous experience with permit implementation or the development and implementation of Environmental Management Systems are assets
  • Proficiency with EMS software or tracking systems
  • Understanding of ISO 14001 framework and standards would be an asset
  • Strong technical knowledge of relevant federal and provincial environmental legislation, standards, and effective industry practices
  • Strong analytical capability for data validation, visualization, and communication
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent 

Salary: $115, 200 / year  


The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
