In this role you will be responsible for:
• Support development and scale-up of new vanadium products
• Assist with laboratory and pilot-scale development work, including process trials and data analysis
• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), mass balances, and process design documentation
• Support scale-up of laboratory processes to pilot and plant level
• Assist in process optimisation and troubleshooting initiatives within existing operations
• Support implementation of process improvements and equipment modifications
• Contribute to product quality improvement initiatives, including impurity reduction strategies
• Assist in translating R&D findings into plant-ready operating procedures and engineering solutions
• Work closely with operations, laboratory, and engineering teams to ensure effective process implementation
About you:
• BEng / BSc Eng Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering
• 3 years’ experience in chemical processing, hydrometallurgy, or metallurgical operations
• Experience with process development, pilot testing, or plant optimisation
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with process data
• Experience with process design tools and mass balance calculations will be advantageous
• Must have own transport and a valid driver’s license
• Medically fit to perform work at a mine
• Communicate clearly in English
• Internally motivated and capable of working with a team, as team leader or completely isolated without supervision
