HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD
Reporting to the Head of Prevention, you will have the opportunity to manage the prevention division and supervise the team assigned to this area. Your main responsibilities will be:
- To provide leadership, guidance, and development for the prevention team; set priorities; promote autonomy and accountability; and ensure that departmental objectives are met.
- Act as a partner to operational managers, advising and challenging them on risk management while promoting their accountability and autonomy in health and safety matters
- Evaluate and analyze health and safety performance, including prevention activities, incidents, the reporting culture, and the effectiveness of the control measures in place
- Establish and adjust priorities based on risks, operational needs, and legal and corporate requirements, and monitor prevention plans.
- Recommend and support the implementation of initiatives and action plans aimed at reducing risks, preventing accidents and occupational illnesses, and continuously improving • performance
- Conduct and support audits and risk assessments, evaluate the level of compliance, and monitor the effectiveness of the actions implemented.
- Demonstrate inspiring leadership and a strong ability to influence others in order to support organizational change and foster team buy-in.
PROFILE REQUIRED
- Hold a university certificate in occupational health and safety and have at least 10 years of relevant experience in health and safety, including significant experience in management or supervision.
- Have a solid understanding of applicable occupational health and safety laws and requirements.
- Have solid experience in incident investigation, risk analysis, and evaluating the effectiveness of control measures
- Possess inspirational leadership, strong influence, and the ability to support teams and gain their buy-in for change.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong listening skills, and the ability to adapt one’s approach and demeanor to different levels of the organization.
- A working knowledge of English is a plus.
