HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD

Reporting to the Head of Geoscience Data and Information, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the discovery of critical and strategic minerals for the Raglan Mine.  Your primary duties will be:

  • Coordinate the production of contractors to conduct borehole (surface & underground), surface and airborne geophysical surveys (approximately 5 to 30 people).
  • Provide advice and recommendations to geoscientists in order to optimize drilling targets
  • Collaborate with project geophysicists to perform geophysical surveys and technological tests in the field.
  • Provide interpretations of electromagnetic surveys, 3D geophysical models, and maps, reports, or other interpretive products as needed.
  • Supervise contractors on site to ensure that health, safety, and environmental standards are met.
  • Collaborate in research aimed at furthering knowledge of the earth's structure and composite, locating, and identifying resources.

 

PROFILE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in geology with a master's degree in geophysics or any other equivalent education, combined with five (5) years of experience in geophysics.
  • Be a member of the Ordre des géologues du Québec or be able to become one.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience working in geophysics, drilling and exploration, particularly in electromagnetic and magnetotelluric techniques, would be a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of various software: Geosoft Oasis Montaj, EMIT Maxwell, Mira Geoscience Analyst, Gocad, QGIS, as well as various other geophysical modeling or inversion software; Python programming is also an asset.
  • Working knowledge of English is an asset.
