- The work schedule is “hybrid”. It consists of a combination of workdays at the mine site and workdays at the Laval or Rouyn-Noranda office (or telework). Over a 4-week period, this schedule is made up of 7 consecutive working days at the mine site and 10 working days off-site.
- On-site shifts are 11 hours a day and off-site shifts are 7.5 hours a day.

HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD
Reporting to the senior engineer – opex and working within a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for monitoring structural integrity at the concentrator. You will ensure the effectiveness of the inspection program and the completion of the resulting engineering batches. You will act as an expert and advisor to the asset owner in prioritizing interventions. Your main duties will be:
- Improve the current inspection plan and ensure its implementation.
- Plan, coordinate, and carry out inspections. Depending on the volume, some inspections will be outsourced.
- Receive/process inspection results and validate the risk levels of the various defects identified.
- Maintain the defect log and issue recommendations on priorities and completion deadlines.
- Group defects into intervention batches, establish engineering requirements, and ensure their completion. Depending on the volume to be processed, some engineering batches will be outsourced.
- Validate the constructability of engineering solutions and follow up with the corrosion program project manager during implementation.
- Provide technical support during the execution of corrective work.
- Ensure compliance with applicable technical rules and standards.
- Design plans, sign them, and seal them.
PROFILE REQUIRED
- Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering and be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- Experience in calculating and certifying the capacity of existing structures, considering degradation, corrosion and environmental factors.
- Be able to effectively explain and present project-related issues and recommended directions in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience in construction project management (an asset).
- Show autonomy and demonstrate good management of priorities.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
