  • The work schedule is “hybrid”. It consists of a combination of workdays at the mine site and workdays at the Laval or Rouyn-Noranda office (or telework). Over a 4-week period, this schedule is made up of 7 consecutive working days at the mine site and 10 working days off-site.
  • On-site shifts are 11 hours a day and off-site shifts are 7.5 hours a day.

HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD 

Under the Senior Geologist, you will have the opportunity to work in an environment that stands out for its health and safety results and is oriented towards new technologies in the mining sector. Your main duties will be:

  • Supervise Exploration geologists and Exploration engineer.
  • Inspect, coordinate health and safety activities, and participate in workplace investigations.
  • Implement and monitor drilling campaigns, including the authorizations, coordination of materials and equipment according to current projects.
  • Collaborate in the administrative follow-up of service contracts and write technical reports.
  • Ensure quality control of drilling, geological and geochemical data in order to develop quality reports that meet detailed requirements.
  • Act as a trainer for new Exploration geologists and engineers.
  • Establish and update procedures for field staff.
  • Comply with health, safety and environmental rules or any other aspect related to sustainable development.

PROFILE REQUIRED 

  • Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering, combined with a minimum of 5 (cinq) years of relevant experience in the field of mineral exploration.
  • Member of the Ordre des géologues du Québec or Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Know-how with IT systems such as Office Suite, QGIS, Leapfrog, Datamine Fusion, DHlogger, SAP, Gestair.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • A working knowledge of English is an asset.
