We are seeking a highly skilled Python Software Engineer with strong commercial experience in developing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-grade Python applications and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python development, APIs, automation frameworks, CI/CD, source control, and software engineering best practices. This role will be responsible for delivering new Python-based solutions, supporting and enhancing existing automation processes, and driving the migration of suitable UiPath/RPA solutions to Python as part of the organization's strategic engineering roadmap.
The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, work effectively within globally distributed teams, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable automation solutions. Experience with UiPath or other Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms will be an added advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Python applications and automation solutions.
- Migrate suitable UiPath/RPA processes into scalable Python-based implementations.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve production issues while ensuring application stability and performance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and product teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Follow software engineering best practices, including version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and code quality standards.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
KEY COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Proven experience in Python development with experience delivering enterprise applications.
- Experience with REST API development, data processing, and automation solutions.
- Good understanding of software engineering best practices, including source control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience supporting production applications and resolving critical issues in enterprise environments.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across globally distributed teams.
Additional Skills
- Experience with UiPath or other Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms.
- Experience migrating automation workflows from RPA platforms to Python.
- Knowledge of enterprise automation frameworks and digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise applications using Python.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
