Reward & Talent Specialist – Copper Assets
Location
India – Chennai or Mumbai

Global Head of Talent & Reward, Copper Business
Role Purpose
The Reward & Talent Specialist will support the Copper Business in delivering key Reward and Talent processes across global operations. The role will provide specialist analytical, process and coordination support across compensation, benefits, performance and talent activities, working closely with global, regional and asset HR teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support annual compensation review processes, including salary review, bonus allocation and incentive recommendations.
- Prepare reward analysis, including salary benchmarking, compa-ratio, internal equity and cost impact modelling.
- Support talent review and succession planning processes, including preparation of data, templates, reports and leadership materials.
- Assist with performance management cycle activities, including calibration support, reporting and linkage to reward outcomes.
- Support mobility-related analysis and coordination, including package reviews, cost estimates and policy alignment.
- Prepare clear dashboards, summaries and presentations for decision-making.
- Work with regional and asset HR teams to gather inputs, improve data quality and ensure process consistency.
- Support the simplification and standardisation of Reward and Talent tools, templates and processes.
Required Experience
- Experience in Reward, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management or HR analytics.
- Good understanding of compensation processes, salary benchmarking, incentives and performance-linked reward.
- Exposure to talent review, succession planning or performance management processes.
- Experience in a multinational or matrix organisation preferred.
- Experience in mining, natural resources, heavy industry or manufacturing would be an advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI capability.
- Ability to manage data accurately and confidentially, strong attention to detail.
- English proficiency - clear written and verbal communication. Spanish, French proficiency is an added advantage
- Good stakeholder coordination skills. Ability to work independently in a lean global team.
- Practical, structured and solution-focused approach.
Preferred Profile
Bachelor’s degree in science, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or a related field. Masters in human resources is an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably as a Reward specialist with exposure to Talent processes, or as an HR generalist with strong analytical capability and experience supporting Reward and Talent activities.
Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a flair for data mining, compensation analysis, building dashboards and insight generation. Advanced Excel skills are essential; Power BI capability is strongly preferred.
The role is intended to strengthen the global Copper Talent & Reward team through specialist support, process discipline and data-driven insights.
