Come join our fast-paced sales team at a world leading commodity company. The marketing of sulfuric acid is an integral part of Glencore’s operations, and we are looking for a strong candidate with a proven tack record in Sales to be a key contributor to our team.
Account Manager:
We are seeking an Account Manager to join our sulfuric acid field sales team. In this role, you will serve as both a field sales representative and commercial account manager for NorFalco, a Glencore company, helping to strengthen existing customer relationships, improve commercial returns, and identify new business opportunities with prospective customers.
You will work closely with a core group of Traders, providing market and customer insights that help inform and execute planning at both the regional and national levels. As the primary commercial contact for customers, you will lead and manage commercial discussions, negotiate key B2B agreements, and deliver outcomes that maximize customer value and profitability.
Major Responsibilities Include:
- Own regional sales performance and results.
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships.
- Prospect, cold call, and win new business.
- Track market activity, customer needs, competition, and forecast changes.
- Act as the link between the Trading team and the market.
- Monitor regional supply and demand trends daily.
- Lead customer coordination across commercial, technical, logistical, and credit matters.
- Promote value-added services to customers.
- Support national sales planning and budgeting.
Location:
- Ideal candidate will have a home office in Midwest US or US Gulf regions, yet location is flexible considering the remote nature of the position
- Have proven sales experience, strong organizational skills and the discipline to work from home.
- Extensive travel will be required, with a heavier travel schedule expected in the first 2-3 years for meetings with customer base, attendance to industry conferences, and other business needs. All within US and Canada.
- Strong social and interpersonal skills are important for this role, as it involves confident communication, building relationships, and maintaining professionalism with clients and internal teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Economics or Science
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus
- Very strong commercial aptitude with proven problem solving and analytical skills
- Fast learner, able to work independently, and multi-task effectively
- Minimum 5 years B2B sales experience in any sector
- Experience with chemical or Sulfuric Acid sales is NOT a requirement but can be an advantage
- Adept at Power Point, Word, Excel
