We are looking for a Junior Business Change Analyst to join our Business Change team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in business analysis, project and change management — ideally gained in consulting, commodities trading, or banking. You will support the delivery of transformation projects across the business, working closely with stakeholders to understand the business case, develop innovative solutions and help implement changes.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career professional to join a collaborative team within a global commodity trading company. You will gain hands-on exposure to trading operations, systems, and large-scale transformation programmes. We are looking for someone who is accountable, curious, and willing to learn — someone who takes ownership of their work, develops effective relationships across the business, and is motivated to grow into a trusted change professional. International travel may be required.

The main tasks and responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end project delivery from problem statement definition through requirements, design, build, test, and user adoption — working with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define clear problem statements, articulate the business case for change, and ensure alignment on objectives before solution design begins.

  • Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis; produce clear process maps (as-is / to-be), user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications that feed directly into solution design and build phases.

  • Support solution design and build by translating requirements into actionable specifications, assisting with gap analysis between current and target states, and coordinating with IT and vendors to track deliverables against the project plan.

  • Support UAT planning and execution — help develop test scripts, coordinate testing cycles, log and triage defects, and ensure traceability from requirements through to test signoff.

  • Execute change management activities — draft communications, support training material development, capture change readiness feedback from end users, and assist with go-live hypercare.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across business units; adapt communication style to different audiences and respond to requests promptly.

  • Promote user adoption and embed lasting change by supporting the development and delivery of training materials, end-user communications, change readiness assessments, and post-go-live hypercare activities.

  • Utilise your knowledge of the physical and financial trading lifecycle, front/mid/back office functions, core systems (CTRM, ERP, logistics), and relevant regulatory frameworks.

  • Produce clear data visualisations and dashboards; support data migration testing and reconciliation using Excel, SQL basics, and standard business tools.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, IT, or a related field. Certifications or progress towards certifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are a plus but not required.

  • 2-5 years of experience in business analysis, project and change management, or consulting — preferably with exposure to commodities trading, banking, or financial services.

  • Solid understanding of project management fundamentals (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and experience running  projects.

  • Ability to gather and document requirements, produce process maps, and write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Foundational understanding of change management principles (awareness, motivation, knowledge, ability, reinforcement) and experience supporting change activities.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills — attention to detail, deliverables are well-structured, and you can adapt your style to different audiences.

  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset — you flag issues early, offer solutions, and follow through on commitments without reminders.

  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation), PowerPoint, and familiarity with tools such as Visio/Lucidchart and Jira/Confluence.

  • Awareness of advancements in technology — including AI, machine learning, cloud platforms, and data analytics — and a willingness to explore how these can support digital transformation and operational efficiency.

  • Interest in commodity markets and willingness to develop knowledge of trade capture, position management, P&L, risk, and front/mid/back-office operations.

  • Fluent in English (corporate language).

  • Holding a Swiss work permit or passport holder of CH / EU / EFTA.

Benefits

  • We are committed to providing benefits, which promote mental, physical, and financial well-being. From healthy meal options in our restaurants and bistros to free use of the in-house gym including sport classes with professional trainers.

  • We reimburse public transport for commuting to work; alternatively, we offer free parking space.

  • We provide tuition assistance for further education and training courses.

  • We have a competitive parental leave policy. Our childcare benefits also include emergency childcare services and financial assistance towards daycare costs.

  • Employees’ Swiss Pension 2nd pillar is fully paid by Glencore.
