Glencore IT supports the digital infrastructure behind a global commodities marketing business across Oil, Gas, Power and Metals. We are seeking a highly organized and commercially minded IT Procurement Vendor Manager to lead technology sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor governance across our IT and business domains. The role acts as a central point for managing IT vendor relationships, coordinating procurement activities, driving commercial outcomes, and ensuring adherence to compliance and due diligence requirements. This position requires strong commercial acumen, negotiation capability, and the ability to collaborate with IT leadership, Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate disposes of:

IT Procurement Management and Sourcing Execution

Support sourcing activities for IT Commercial Engineering including SaaS, enterprise software, and professional services. Conduct supplier evaluations, cost analysis, and benchmarking to support commercial decision-making.

Contract Negotiation and SOW Coordination

Negotiate MSAs, SaaS agreements, licensing terms, and Statements of Work. Partner with Legal to finalise commercial and compliance terms.

Vendor Governance, Due Diligence, and KYC

Run vendor due diligence and KYC processes in collaboration with Compliance, and Information Security.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communications

Working with IT, business stakeholders, and vendors. Gather requirements, validate scope, and communicate commercial updates.

The ideal candidate disposes of:

5-10+ years of IT procurement, vendor management, or commercial management experience in commodities trading, investment banking, or global markets.

Proven ability to negotiate complex SaaS, cloud, and professional services agreements.

Experience partnering with IT leadership, Legal, Finance, and technical teams.

Familiarity with procurement considerations across SaaS, cloud services, enterprise applications, and specialist IT services.

Experience running vendor due diligence, KYC, and third‑party risk assessments.

Skills:

Functional Skills

Expert in contract negotiation, supplier evaluation, and SOW management.

Skilled in analysing commercial proposals, pricing structures, and total cost of ownership.

Technical Skills

Knowledge of key legal and commercial terms.

Familiarity with cloud platforms, enterprise tooling, and trading/analytics technology environments.

Understanding of information security and data‑protection considerations in vendor assessments.

Professional Skills

Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.

Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities.

Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
