Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Coupa Global Middleware Lead, you will have the opportunity to work as an integral member of the Glencore’s Global and Regional Infrastructure Teams.

  • You will be responsible for ongoing development, maintenance and problem solving of the integration between the Middleware (Boomi / PunchOut2Go), Coupa and the various ERP’s deployed by the business.

  • The Middleware Specialist will manage and implement the regular deployment of middleware upgrades and the coordination with the various ERP teams with regards to ERP patching and updating.

  • You will also be responsible for the technical planning, management and deployment of regular system changes in accordance with the Coupa quarterly release cycle in collaboration with the Coupa Regional Business Analysts.

More specifically, you will:

  • Provide 2nd level anticipatory and strategic service for performance management of crucial systems, including real-time alerts for performance issues.

  • Respond to real-time performance alerts and conduct ongoing analysis to identify and proactively address performance problems.

  • Handle production support for application integration incidents, ensuring timely resolution and communication with the business.

  • Follow change management standards and develop application outage communication procedures.

  • Create and update Help Desk procedures and test scripts.

  • Facilitate disaster recovery planning and maintain detailed technical design documentation.

  • Administer deployed processes, monitor process logs, and alert the business of any outages or disruptions.

  • Liaise with Coupa support on integration and troubleshoot middleware process errors.

  • Adjust processes as necessary and manage the deployment of changes.

  • Escalate functional errors to appropriate support resources.

  • Ensure data stewardship and maintain golden records in Master Data Management, resolving data errors as needed.

  • Perform data maintenance for non-integrated master data and ensure data alignment between Coupa, middleware, TradeCentric, and ERPs.

  • Plan and manage the monthly technical deployment of new Boomi functionalities across a 3-tier environment.

  • Administer deployed data stores and catalogue routes.

  • Troubleshoot punch-out errors between ERPs and Coupa.

  • Monitor and manage Middleware configuration changes resulting from Coupa development for Glencore.

  • Collaborate with Coupa Regional Business Analysts to identify and manage new business requirements affecting Middleware deployment.

  • Assist in implementing testing scenarios to ensure data flow aligns with the information architecture design.

This role will be supported by and report to the Coupa Middleware Lead.

Qualifications

  • A degree, diploma, or substantial practical experience in the development, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems.

  • Coupa and Boomi certifications at the developer level are required; however, it is understood that these may be obtained during the first year in this role.

Competencies

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT technology field, specifically in Middleware administration, with a preference for familiarity with Boomi, SAP PI, or similar technologies.

  • A comprehensive understanding of the Coupa Source to Pay platform and associated ERPs, including but not limited to SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, Mincom, and others.

  • Demonstrated familiarity with Systems Analytics and Reporting tools, such as Power BI, is a prerequisite for this position.

  • Effective communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity on project goals and requirements.

  • Proficient problem-solving abilities, with a strategic approach to identifying challenges and implementing innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving IT environment.

  • Adaptability and resilience, demonstrating the capacity to manage shifting priorities and work effectively in stressful situations while maintaining a professional demeanor.

  • Occasional travel to other sites will be necessary, accounting for up to 20% of your time.

  • Proficiency in English is required.
