The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Risk and Safety Analyst join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations.
The position will be based in Greater Sudbury (Onaping), Ontario.
This is a six (6) month contract staff position.
Range of Pay: $138,000 to $154,000 including salary and variable compensation.
This position is being posted to fill an existing vacancy.
Work location is not accessible by public transportation.
Duties and Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Risk and Safety Lead (Surface Plants), the Risk and Safety Analyst provides support to the Risk and Safety teams, as well as site leadership teams, in managing and reporting safety and risk in compliance with Glencore ERM Standards and SAFEWORK Performance Expectations. The position requires a close working relationship with other risk and safety professionals across Sudbury INO. High-quality relationships with various stakeholders will be critical to the success of the candidate as they manage activities within the Sudbury INO Risk and Safety Program and SafeWork program elements.

Education and Skills
This position requires an individual with strong technical knowledge of risk management practices, safety legislation, and safety management systems, along with excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills to support the effective coordination and delivery of Risk and Safety initiatives. The successful candidate will possess a college diploma in Risk, Safety, or a related discipline from a recognized educational institution, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The incumbent requires a minimum of eight (8) years of safety/risk experience. Direct knowledge of mining regulations and programs would be considered an asset.
