The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Training Supervisor to join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations.

The position will be based in Greater Sudbury (Onaping), Ontario.

This is a sixteen (16) month contract staff position.

Range of Pay: $116,000 to $130,000 including salary and variable compensation.

This position is being posted to fill an existing vacancy.

Work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Duties and Accountabilities: 

Reporting to the Training and Document Management Lead, the Training Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supporting the delivery of underground training programs at Craig Mine. The role ensures employees are trained, competent, and prepared to safely perform technical and operational tasks in an underground mining environment.

The position requires close collaboration with frontline supervisors, trainers, and crews to plan, schedule, and track training activities, with a strong focus on equipment operation, task-based competencies, and legislated requirements. Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders will be essential to successfully support training programs and workforce readiness.

Education and Skills

This position requires an individual with a strong understanding of underground mining operations, equipment, and training practices, along with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will possess a post-secondary diploma or trades certification, along with hands-on experience in underground mining, training, and facilitation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience developing and supporting practical, task-based training programs is considered an asset.
