The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a temporary Stationary Engineer lll to join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations.
The position will be based in Greater Sudbury (Onaping), Ontario.
This is a full-time, temporary, unionized position.
The hourly wage rate is $41.86 per hour, the position is eligible for applicable bonuses.
This position is being posted to fill an existing vacancy.
Work location is not accessible by public transportation.
Duties and Accountabilities:
the Stationary Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing equipment used to supply heat, air, water, and electrical power to surface operations. The role supports critical infrastructure systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient site operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
About You
The qualified candidate will hold a 3rd Class Stationary Engineer Certification, an IMT or G1 Gas Technician License, and Water Distribution Level 1 Certification. Possess a strong understanding of boiler operations, water treatment systems, plant utilities, regulatory compliance, and safe work practices, with the ability to work independently and respond effectively to operational issues.
