Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for a Supply Superintendent to join our established and dedicated team.

Murrin Murrin Operations is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

The successful person will be responsible for leading the end-to-end site supply operations at Murrin Murrin Operations, ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective management of warehousing, inventory, transaction purchasing, inbound and outbound logistics, freight coordination and rotable spare management.

You will be responsible for:
  • Lead all warehouse operations, including receipting, storage, preservation, issuing and stock control.
  • Develop and implement the warehouse strategy to improve safety, service, productivity and inventory performance.
  • Monitor purchasing performance and remove bottlenecks that impact operational delivery.
  • Manage freight providers and monitor performance against contractual obligations and service expectations.
  • Lead the end-to-end management of the rotable asset process.
  • Manage operational relationships with freight providers, logistics contractors and supply service providers.
  • Manage the annual operating budget, ensuring effective financial planning and cost control.
  • Ensure warehouse, logistics and supply activities are conducted in accordance with all statutory, company and site safety requirements.

About You


This role would suit a person that can play a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, continuous improvement and the successful adoption of business systems and standardised supply chain processes.
You will also have:
  • Significant experience leading supply operations within mining, heavy industry or manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience managing warehousing, logistics and operational purchasing functions.
  • Strong inventory management and warehouse optimisation experience.
  • Experience leading operational teams in a site-based environment.
  • Experience managing contractor and supplier performance.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline is highly desirable.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) is desirable
