Supervisor - Operations Services

Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for an experienced Operations Services - Supervisor to join our established and dedicated team.

Murrin Murrin Operations is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who is responsible for supervising the duties of your team to meet operational requirements.

You will be responsible for:

• Manage designated crews to ensure ancillary production services are carried out according to operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain an ongoing and productive relationship with crew members.
• Allocating day-to-day work priorities ensuring work is conducted safely.
• Motivating employees to perform, measuring team performance and addressing issues as they arise.
• Developing and maintaining a productive relationship with crew members whilst assisting in the development of operator training programmes
• Responsible for the health and safety of all personnel and the reporting of any environmental and/or WH&S incidents, accidents, or discharges
• Assisting in achieving operating budgets 

About You

This role would suit an experienced Operations Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be a people person with great communication skills who understands that your people are your greatest asset.

You will also have:

• Experience in a supervisory role within a continuous operating plant
• Strong understanding of both production and maintenance strategies for large-scale, continuous operating processing plants
• Proven experience aligned to following workplace HSE procedures, legislation policies, and management systems.
• Experience with shift work / rostering planning with good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spread sheet applications.
• A current and valid Australian Manual Driver’s Licence
