Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for an experience Mechanical Fitter looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role

This role is a member of a hardworking, proactive and committed team who are responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the Utilities Plant under direction of the Supervisor. 
You will be responsible for:
  • Performing planned maintenance, reactive breakdown maintenance and shutdown work across the area;
  • Leading teams from 6 to 20 across multiple work fronts;
  • Daily entry, creation & reporting of timesheets, hazards and pre-starts for direct employees & contractors;
  • Providing a valuable contribution with resource allocation and planning; and
  • Liaising with production personnel regarding operational requirements and targets.
  • Performing the Supervisors role and duties during their absence

About You

This role would suit a motivated; solutions focused and experienced Mechanical Fitter with previous exposure to leading a team. You will also:
  • Hold Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter Qualifications;
  • S26 Statutory Supervisor required;
  • Proven previous experience leading a team in a similar environment;
  • Can do attitude, self-driven and determination to achieve goals;
  • Prior exposure to working with Work Area Permit Systems; and
  • Certificate IV in leadership and management, basic dogging/rigging, WAH, CSE, LF, and EWP tickets are advantageous.
