Minara Resources has an opportunity for a driven Mechanical Engineer to join our established and dedicated team.

The Role


The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for the maintenance and mechanical engineering of our complex process plant.
You will be responsible for:

  • Provide mechanical and integrity engineering support to ensure compliance with MMO standards and statutory obligations.
  • Assist in executing inspection programs and analysing inspection outcomes for mechanical systems.
  • Develop and review maintenance and repair strategies for pressure equipment and critical assets.
  • Perform engineering assessments and technical evaluations for asset integrity issues.
  • Contribute to corrosion and integrity management initiatives 
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and integrity records.
  • Support the Lead Mechanical and Asset Integrity Engineer in technical reviews and project execution.
  • Participate in investigations and recommend engineering solutions for recurring mechanical integrity issues.
  • Shutdown Preparation including reviewing prior reports and inspections to develop SOWs
  • Shutdown execution participating in inspections, FFS assessments and/or repair scoping.
  • Shutdown engineering close out reports and identifying future works and continuous improvement opportunities.

About You

This role would suit a team player who is looking to kick start their career in a complex multifaceted plant environment. You will also have:

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in a hydrometallurgical or chemical plant is preferred along with practical, hands-on engineering experience.
  • Exposure to the pace and requirements of shut-down maintenance and repairs of an operation process plant.
  • Experience preparing work packs for repairs and modifications to plant equipment.
  • Prior FIFO experience (Advantageous); and
  • Attention orientation and be driven to provide solutions across a vast scope.
