Minara Resources has an opportunity for a Senior Environmental Advisor to join our established and dedicated team.

Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

The successful candidate will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who is responsible for monitoring compliance with regulatory approval conditions, licences and permits and maintaining a positive relationship with government departments, local community representatives and other stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:
  • Report on the performance of the EMS, including overall environmental performance, to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and environmental commitments.
  • Provide regulatory reports and information to the applicable government departments in accordance with required time frames.
  • Ensure required regulatory approvals are obtained in a timely manner to avoid any disruptions to the business.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with government regulatory departments and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide management and the workforce with timely and accurate advice on environmental matters.

About You


Reporting directly to the Superintendent – Environment and Community this role would suit a detailed and process oriented person. 

You will also have:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent in an Environmental Science
  • WA ‘C’ class drivers’ licence.
  • Significant experience (5+ years) in a mining environment dealing with environmental issues.
  • Sound understanding and practical application of current environmental management practices.
  • High level understanding of relevant environmental legislation, both State and Federal, impacting on mine development in WA.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Confident communicator with management and other stakeholders.
