Minara Resources has an opportunity for a EEHA Inspector to join our established and dedicated team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Role
The successful candidate will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who can undertake inspections, breakdown repairs, and preventative maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment in hazardous area (EEHA) to ensure compliance, safety and maximum equipment reliability and availability.
You will be responsible for:
- Perform detailed visual, close, and detailed inspections of electrical equipment in hazardous areas as per inspection schedules and relevant standards.
- Conduct testing, tagging, and verification of EEHA installations, ensuring correct selection, installation, and integrity of equipment.
- Record inspection findings in the EEHA database, including photographic evidence and recommendations for corrective action.
- Review hazardous area classification drawings and ensure installation integrity aligns with zone, gas, and dust classification requirements.
- Assist with the commissioning and verification of new installations or equipment replacements in hazardous areas.
- Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and planners to ensure rectification work is completed within compliance timeframes.
- Conduct quality checks on maintenance and project activities to verify compliance with EEHA and electrical standards.
About You
Reporting directly to the Superintendent this role would suit a detailed and process oriented person.
You will also have:
- A Grade unrestricted WA Electrical Licence – Requirement
- Certificate in EEHA – Requirement
- A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience working in a hazardous area electrical within mining, oil & gas or industrial environment– Requirement
- WA ‘C’ class drivers’ licence– Requirement
- Experience working on a remote mine site– Desirable
- Certificate III or above in Instrumentation -Desirable
- First Aid – Desirable
