Minara Resources has an opportunity for a Contractor Support Officer to join our established and dedicated team.

Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

The successful candidate will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who will responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management and performance of nominated contracts at Murrin Murrin.
You will be responsible for:

  • Monitor contractual compliance of nominated contractors as the appointed MMO contract Representative and support assigned contract owners;
  • Coordinate site waste management operations and ensure compliance with MMO and regulatory procedures;
  • Ensure fuel farms are operational and in compliance with site and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure roads to and from and within site are in a safe and operational condition.
  • Coordinate and ensure the maintenance of site buildings.

About You

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager this role would suit a detailed and process oriented person. 

You will also have:
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience, in the resources industry, in contract/mining management;
  • High level understanding of all relevant legislation relevant to role in the mining industry in WA;
  • Sound judgement required to determine best approach in dealing with people related issues and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation;
  • Experience in managing costs and budgeting;
  • Demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas.
  • Proactive in identifying and addressing issues;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; and
  • High degree of attention to detail.
