Graduate Mine Planning Engineer

Minara Resources has an opportunity for a Graduate Mine Planning Engineer to join our team.

Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

This role is a member of a hardworking, proactive and committed Mine Engineering team, who are responsible for the delivery of a range of services to the Mining Department in order to satisfy the objectives of the business and maximise the value of the Murrin Murrin Operation. You will be responsible for:

• Design of Medium-Term pit designs and associated infrastructure;
• Presentation of the Quarterly Medium-Term Mining Plan to stakeholders within the Mining department;
• Creation of mine dig plans and material schedules within the 2-5 year planning horizon;
• Contribution to the annual Mining Proposal submission to DMIRS; and
• Assisting with ad-hoc project work to support Strategic Mine Planning.  

About You

This role would suit a tertiary qualified graduate wanting to kick start their career within our sustainable business with a focus on tomorrow. You will also have:

• Possess a tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering;
• Have some past experience working as a Mining Engineer (open pit preferred) with some exposure to mine planning
• Past exposure to mine design and scheduling software;
