Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our established and dedicated team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
Minara Resources is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role
The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for providing leadership and management for significant engineering projects based on site at Murrin Murrin Operations.
You will be responsible for:- Project delivery safely, in scope, of the required quality, on budget, and to schedule
- Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements, MMO standards and Australian Standards where appropriate
- Provide high level engineering expertise and advice to the operations team for the prevention, trouble shooting and correction of mechanical & structural problems
- Leading all HAZOPs and design reviews for capital projects, particularly those required to tie new works into our existing brown-field plant
- Compliance with all site safety systems, standards, procedures and protocols and
- Identifying continuous improvement opportunities across our plant, equipment and systems.
About You
This role would suit a technically astute mechanical engineer looking to lead projects across a multifaceted mining disciplined site.
You will also have:
- Mechanical Engineering Qualification or similar
- Previous experience in a similar role and environment; site-based plant engineering including project management of significant brownfield engineering projections
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise deliverables across multiple projects
- A hands-on approach to mentoring other engineering team members
- Current & Valid Manual Drivers Licence.
