As a successful candidate, you will take on a range of responsibilities, including performing heavy fleet maintenance work and breakdown repairs, undertaking planned maintenance tasks, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary trade team. You'll demonstrate a high standard of professional workmanship while maintaining and improving occupational health and safety (OH&S) and overall operational standards. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor apprentices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
To thrive in this role, you should be a trade-qualified Diesel Fitter with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. A flexible approach and adaptability to change, along with strong attention to detail, are essential. You must possess good time management skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and demonstrate effective communication skills. A current Australian manual driver’s license is required, and experience with SAP or similar systems, as well as proficiency in Excel, would be advantageous.
