As a Boilermaker, your responsibilities will include routine maintenance inspections, shutdown work, and fixed plant maintenance. You’ll work on a variety of mining equipment, including structural steel, storage bins, chutes, guarding, and pipework. A key part of your role will be interpreting scale drawings and specifications to determine job requirements and materials.
To be successful in this role, you should have trade experience in mining, heavy industry, or quarrying, with a focus on Engineering Fabrication (Heavy Fabrication-Boilermaking). You must be able to meet deadlines while adhering to high safety standards and possess a strong awareness of risk and control. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to being part of a cohesive team are essential.
