QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12
- Valid driver’s license (Code C)
- PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- Forklift drivers’ license
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- 2 Years experience as a driver – Truck and LDV
- Experience in heavy industry, gained preferably in a furnace smelting operation
- Good communication skills
JOB OBJECTIVES
In this role you will be reporting to the Engineering Manager for the following:
- Driving the Forklift, Tractor, Light Delivery Vehicle & 10 ton truck
- Collecting and delivering stores and operational supplies
- Loading and offloading of supplier deliveries
- Stores escort on plant deliveries
- Assisting the operation when required
- Assist Stores Assistants with day to day tasks
- Assisting with cyclical and annual stores stock counts
- Stock rotation and safe storage practices
- Cleaning and maintaining housekeeping
- Diesel receiving and issuing
- Overtime will be worked when required
