Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking experienced Electricians to join our high performing Maintenance & Engineering Team on site. Clermont Open Cut produces close to 12 million tonnes of coal per year and is a high performing, low cost, truck & shovel operation, located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, dynamic and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes.  The role will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the core purpose of this vital role is to assist in the day-to-day requirements of a Maintenance Electrician for Clermont Open Cut. You will be a key stakeholder in providing technical leadership, guidance, and support to site regarding maintenance management and compliance to the SHMS.

As an Electrician at Clermont Open Cut your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·        Willingness to work and contribute in a team environment

·        Work unsupervised in breakdown conditions

·        Follow safe work practices

·        Maintain a high level of detail and housekeeping standards

You will possess the following skillset and attributes:

·        Minimum 2 years’ experience in large mining operation with experience in CHPP, infrastructure, Shovels & Komatsu electric trucks (desirable)

·        Current Qld Electrical Licence or equivalent

·        Current LVR / CPR qualification

·        HV switching experience

·        High level diagnostic skills and schematic knowledge

·        SAP work management experience (desirable)

·        Reliability focused mindset

·        QLD Drivers Licence

This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practice using a hands-on approach.
