Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland.  With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook.  Since 2005, we have grown to become one of the largest surface mines in Australia, whilst continuing to foster a culture underpinned by safety, achievement, flexibility and teamwork to improve the skills of each and every person on the mine site every day.  We are a hands-on team who all work together to meet our objectives.  No job or day is the same with us, and we never miss an opportunity to share, learn and improve.

Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to provide service and expertise as a trade qualified Auto Electrician. We are seeking an enthusiastic team player with a formal trade qualification and the competencies necessary to carry out maintenance tasks.

In this role you will be responsible for:
• Effectively and efficiently operating and monitoring equipment to facilitate achievement of plans and targets.
• Participate and contribute to our proactive safety culture.
• Maintain a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.
• Achieve targets in a timely manner.
• Identify, assess and control workplace hazards. .
About you:
• You have previous operations experience.
• You are a trade qualified Auto Electrician.
• Experience with water pump systems and ancillary equipment.
• Understand the companies high regard for safety and hold the same values.
• Enjoy working in a team environment with a positive attitude, reliability and a passion for your trade.
