About the role:

Reporting to the Systems Coordinator, Dispatch provides real time dispatching and monitoring of mining equipment and personnel to ensure efficient use of resources in line with the mine plan and site KPIs. The Dispatch Supervisor will act as a central point of communication for mining, CHPP, tech services, Environment and community and maintenance activities. The role is responsible for all the dispatch control room activities and provides leadership, guidance, training and coaching to the Dispatch team and greater workforce.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide leadership to the Dispatch team and greater workforce.
• Provide key results and communicate operational challenges constructively to the senior leadership team.
• Ensure Dispatch activities are conducted in accordance with site procedures and policies
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of Dispatch.
• Apply troubleshooting skills to resolve operational and system issues in a timely manner
• Validate shift data to ensure accurate records and reporting.
• Liaise with the CHPP, maintenance and production team to ensure operational efficiency.
• Stay across technological advancements in the industry and how they may benefit the operation.

About you:  You are an energetic and focused mining professional with the skills and experience to lead a high-performing dispatch team.

• Opencut mining experience and understanding of industry best practises.
• Previous experience in working with Modular or other fleet management systems in a mining dispatch environment.
• Previous experience working with auxiliary dispatching tools such as fatigue management systems, environmental/weather monitoring systems and crew management tools.
• Excellent Organisational skills and ability to multitask in an environment with dynamic priorities.
• Ability to build and foster strong working relationships with the workforce and other stakeholders.
• Hands on experience directly leading and developing a team.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft office tools and Windows based systems.
• Ability to apply discretion and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive matters.
