Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic and successful Maintenance Team onsite. Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, dynamic, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this multifaceted role will offer variety and opportunity for the right individual.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the mobile equipment maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner, in compliance with legislation and site procedures

• Managing employee and contractors as per the requirements of the Business Solution and ensure all works are completed safely while considering environmental impacts

• Developing and maintaining a cohesive team to ensure maintenance personnel are involved in the Maintenance Department objectives

• Minimising costs through efficient management of all available resources

• Promoting continuous improvement by challenging work practices and encouraging employee participation in new concepts

• Engagement with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure maintenance plans are accurate and deliverable

• Maintaining a safe workplace and providing visible leadership and direction to your team

• Driving continuous improvement opportunities through innovation and collaboration

Requirements of the role include:

• Trade qualified with 5+ years industry experience, preferably in a similar Supervisory role

• S123 & G2 competencies

• Proficiency in CMMS (SAP) and frontline leadership training

• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships, with a passion for team growth and development

• Ability to work autonomously and manage conflicting priorities

• Ability to develop strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders

• Proactive attitude to safety, a strong work ethic, and leadership capabilities

• QLD Drivers Licence

This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practise using a hands-on approach.
