Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Supply Superintendent to join our team at HVO. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the Procurement and Warehouse teams.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Leadership and mentoring of the supply chain function, including the Warehouse, Procurement and Purchasing teams to optimise procurement outcomes.

  • Driving a culture that facilitates teamwork, continuous improvement and adherence with business processes/policies.

  • Providing expert strategic procurement advice to stakeholders, using your knowledge and insights to drive improved commercial outcomes for the operation.

  • Warehouse and logistics management, ensuring timely delivery of inventory and efficient stock management.

  • Development and management of supply chain business plans/budgets to ensure ongoing delivery of safe, efficient and cost-effective services.

Roster and Location

  • Monday to Friday day shift roster

  • Based on site at HVO (1011 Lemington Road, 30kms West of Singleton)

About You

  • A high commitment to safety and a strong continuous improvement approach.

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar senior level leadership role within the resources sector (preferred).

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a business/commerce or related field.

  • Demonstrated experience managing requests for tender, the evaluation and negotiation of tenders, the development of contracts and management of contractors.

  • Ability to apply commercial acumen to business decisions.

  • Be a strong influencer, negotiator and demonstrates strong analytical/problem solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships within all levels of the business, internal and external.

  • Proven experience in a large ERP system (SAP preferred).
