Reporting to the OCC Surface Maintenance Coordinator (HME), the primary purpose of this role is to carry out daily maintenance on the fleet of Caterpillar D11 dozers and related auxiliary equipment at the Oaky Creek Surface Operation. This position forms part of a newly established team of competent, safety‑focused tradespeople.

The role:

  • Full-time permanent
  • Even-time 7/7 rostered position

In this role you will:

  • Provide mechanical support as a member of the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Workshop team.
  • Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on HME and auxiliary equipment.
  • Maintain high work standards and ensure compliance with documented procedures.
  • Foster a positive team culture and actively champion workplace safety.

About you:

You will hold a recognised mechanical trade qualification and have practical experience with large mobile equipment. You must have, or be willing to obtain, a QLD Standard 11 certification, demonstrate a strong focus on safety, and possess excellent critical‑thinking and technical problem‑solving skills. Current overhead crane, dogging and rigging certificates are desirable.
