Reporting to the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent, this role coordinates the day-to-day maintenance of the heavy mobile and ancillary equipment fleet at the Oaky Creek Surface Operation. You will lead a small HME Workshop team of tradespeople and act as a key technical stakeholder, providing leadership, guidance and support for maintenance management and SHMS compliance.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the mobile equipment maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner, in compliance with legislation and site procedures.
• Managing the maintenance of the site D11 dozer fleet, medium trucks and the activities within the HME workshop.
• Management of employees and contractors and ensuring all works are completed safely while considering environmental impacts.
• Develop and maintain a cohesive team that actively supports the surface operation's objectives.
• Promoting continuous improvement by challenging work practices and encouraging employee participation in new concepts.
• Engagement with operations and maintenance teams to ensure maintenance plans are accurate and deliverable.
• Maintaining a safe workplace and providing visible leadership and direction to your team.

You will have:

• Previous supervisory experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in large mobile equipment
• Trade qualifications with 5+ years industry experience
• S1,2,3 & G2 competencies
• Proficiency in CMMS (SAP) and frontline leadership training
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships, with a passion for team growth and development
• Ability to work autonomously and manage conflicting priorities
• Ability to develop strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
• Proactive attitude to safety, a strong work ethic, and leadership capabilities
• QLD Drivers Licence
