Bulga Open Cut is a long established and consistently performing open cut coal operation located near Singleton in the NSW Hunter Valley, with extensive mine approvals extending until 2039. We are currently looking for a highly motivated Health and Safety Officer to join our Health, Safety and Training team. The position is a twelve month Fixed -Term maternity leave contract, working a Monday to Friday roster.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in developing, implementing and monitoring Health and Safety Systems and initiatives to ensure the delivery of business objectives.

  • Developing, coordinating and facilitating Risk Management activities.

  • Engaging with workforce and supervision teams to promote health, safety and wellbeing activities.

About you:

  • You will have tertiary qualifications in OH&S

  • You will have experience in Risk Management.

  • You have a high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates.

  • You have the ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

  • You demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.

  • You will be a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute to a winning team.
