Reporting to the Commercial Manager, an opportunity exists for a proactive and organised Contracts Support Officer to join the Oaky Creek Coal Commercial team.

As a member of the Commercial team, you will be crucial to business operational success, financial performance, and Oaky Creek Coal’s ability to build long-term supplier relationships. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting:

• Vendor management activities, including supplier pre-qualification, setup and ongoing maintenance;
• The management of contractor documentation, including the maintenance of contract databases, registers and templates;
• The review and processing of supplier claims from major labour hire supply contractors, including validation of claimed amounts, coordinating business stakeholder approval and organising payment;
• Purchasing activities for the supply of services, helping to ensure services that are acquired represent best value, and meet governance, compliance and operational objectives,
• Contractor management activities, including scheduling and minuting supplier performance review meetings, keeping track of contractual correspondence and maintaining contract-related documentation.

As the successful Contracts Support officer, you will have:

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar Contracts Support Officer or Contracts Administration role;
• Excellent attention to detail, be responsive, enthusiastic, innovative and a self-motivated person;
• A can-do attitude and desire to work with a Mining Team in a dynamic environment;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to meet monthly deadlines;
• Previous experience with SAP system and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills;
• Tertiary qualifications and ongoing study in purchasing, procurement or contracts will be viewed favourably.
