Reporting to the CHPP Shift Supervisor, our CHPP Electrician will perform operational activities making sure CHPP production targets are met by maximising plant throughput and minimising downtime whilst demonstrating a strong commitment to health, safety and the environment.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering safe and efficient electrical maintenance support to the coal handling and processing plant assets.

  • Performing electrical fault finding and diagnostics work at the CHPP.

  • Inspect, maintain and repair electrical fixed plant in accordance with AS3000 and relevant legislation.

  • Maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.

About you:

  • Relevant trade qualifications.

  • 5+ years’ experience in fixed plant operations.

  • High Voltage competency and experience (highly regarded)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of coal processing.

  • Previous experience in coal handling and processing plants.

  • Excellent Organisational skills and with the ability to multitask.

  • Ability to liaise and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Show motivation with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.

  • Have attention to detail and high interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
