As the Business Systems Analyst - Data and Analytics in Glencore Coal – the following are core business expectations

Project Execution:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential:

    • 3+ years demonstrated experience as Data Analytics Business Systems Analyst

    • In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle

    • Demonstrated experience in supporting end users

    • Experience in running stakeholder workshops and status update sessions

    • Demonstrated experience in gathering user requirements and converting these to business requirement documents

    • Experience in writing and executing test plans and test cases

    • Manages time and personal schedule to achieve objectives

    • Adapts to tight deadlines and pressure situations

    • Identifies opportunities for improving business processes

    • Determines what needs to be done and initiates appropriate action

    • Demonstrated experience in managing stakeholders – both internal and external

    • Ability to develop relationships within all levels of the organisation

    • Well-developed organisational, interpersonal and communication skills

    • Project management and problem-solving skills

    • Solutions & value focussed

    • Attention to detail

    • Seeks out challenges and is self-motivated to improve skills

    • Thrives on being part of a dynamic team and delivering solutions

    • Tertiary qualification in IT/IS/Engineering

    • Demonstrated experience in Power BI (Report server and

      Service)

    • Experience in Azure Data Platform (DataBricks, Synapse, data

      pipelines, consumption costs management and reduction)

    • Solid knowledge and experience in SQL queries

  • Desirable

    • Mining industry experience

    • Managing vendors to provide solutions

    • Prior experience in a regulatory environment

    • Desirable: PowerShell, APIs, Postman
