We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented professional to support the effective management and governance of Materials Master Data across our operations, based in our Newcastle Office. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and standardisation of material records within our systems, ensuring the business can operate efficiently and make informed supply chain decisions.
Key Responsibilities

Create, update, and maintain SAP Material Master Data records in accordance with cataloguing standards

Perform data validation, auditing, and cleansing activities to maintain data integrity, including identifying duplicates and obsolete materials

Work with stakeholders to obtain and verify accurate technical specifications for materials

Support procurement activities by cataloguing materials required for contracts and outline agreements

Manage the cataloguing request process, including administration of the Group Cataloguing Requests inbox and prioritisation of requests

Provide training and support to personnel on cataloguing processes and associated systems

Provide reporting on cataloguing metrics, and identify opportunities to improve cataloguing processes and system efficiencies

Ensure all material creations and changes are supported by appropriate documentation and governance requirements
Knowledge & Personal Capabilities

Strong SAP (or similar) ERP knowledge in Material Management, and a sound understanding of cross-module integration

Well-developed analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Strong problem-solving capability and a proactive approach to improving processes and data quality

Ability to build positive working relationships and uphold company values

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Certificate, Diploma or tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Information Management, Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent industry experience (Desirable)

Experience working with inventory systems and maintaining inventory or material master data within an ERP system

Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems

Exposure to inventory accounting or asset management processes

Experience within mining, resources or heavy industry environments highly regarded
