About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Commercial Officer to join our dynamic and successful team.  As a valued member of the Commercial team and reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Provision of accurate and timely financial accounting information to internal stakeholders ensuring that both operational and corporate requirements are met,

• Manage accounts receivable and working with accounts payable team to ensure vendors payments are facilitated,

• Month end processing and reporting for operational and capital expenditure,

• Ensuring timely and accurate cost accruals, assisting in the preparation of monthly and yearly budgets and forecasts,

• Mentoring cost owners in cost control, accruals and commercial responsibilities,

• Assistance with statutory requirements including BAS and Royalty submissions,

• Providing general administrative and commercial support to site stakeholders,

• Identifying continuous improvements opportunities and process improvements.

About you 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Business or related discipline will be viewed favourably,

• Well developed interpersonal skills as this role deals with all levels of staff and management;

• A flexible attitude and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and problem solve;

• An advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a requirement and previous use of an ERP system (SAP) would be advantageous but not essential.
