About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Health Officer to join our dynamic and successful team.  As a valued member of the Health and Safety team and reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

• Oversee and coordinate health assessments for new and existing workers

• Assist in coordination and delivery of hygiene monitoring programs

• Raising purchase requisitions, invoicing and tracking budget spend

• Assist Health Coordinator in injury management and rehabilitation processes as required

• Logistical planning and oversight for rollout of health initiatives across site

• Data management and recording for health surveillance and hygiene monitoring

• Process documentation and updating

• Maintenance of registers for personnel and equipment

• Participation in audit and projects around health and hygiene activities onsite

• Maintaining systems to manage the appropriate monitoring of employee exposure to industrial hazards.

About you 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience as a Health Officer in a mining environment is desirable

• A thorough understanding of the legislative requirements for health and hygiene at a Queensland Coal Mine

• Align your high regard for personal safety and the safety of your teammates with the company values.

• Able to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

• Demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.

• You are a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and willingness to contribute to a winning team.
