Job Description
Reporting to the Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for varied tasks across the Procurement portfolio with the opportunity to make the role your own and be challenged at every level.
About the Role
The Contracts Officer provides administrative support functions for the Contracts Coordinator and broader Procurement Team by:

Contributing to the development and implementation of plans and processes to improve all activities within the Procurement area to achieve forecasted targets.

Proactively Identifying and communicating potential contract risks and proposing solutions to meet organisational obligations and achieve planned outcomes of the contract.

Tendering and Administering contracts in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and update contract details to maintain the integrity of contract information.

Interpreting and explaining contract requirements, and terms and conditions to stakeholders to support compliance with statutory and policy requirements and inform decision-making.

Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for contract creation and execution.

Support contract negotiations by preparing documents, conducting research and maintaining records.

Maintain document management, contract management systems and project management software, ensuring all documentation is organised and accessible.

About You
To be considered for this role, you must have excellent knowledge of procurement practices and previous experience in a procurement role. The successful candidate will have:

Possess analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to prepare quality legal documentation.

Understanding of Contract Law fundamentals and end-to-end procurement activities.
-
High level of verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a range of stakeholders at various levels, both internally and externally.

Demonstrated office administration and organisational skills including the Microsoft Office suite, Contract Management and Procure to Pay (ERP) Systems.

Demonstrated use of initiative, ability to work independently as well as part of a team, helping other team members with duties as required.

Ability to work well in a small team environment and share information effectively.

Demonstrated ability to interact positively with a diverse range of people and exercise sound judgement and tact.

Ability to work in high pressure and competing priority environments for sustained periods including outside normal business hours when required.
