Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking experienced CHPP Maintenance Superintendent to join our high performing CHPP team onsite. Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes. The role which reports to the CHPP Manager will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Leading the CHPP Maintenance team to safely deliver and execute the maintenance strategy onsite
- Develop and mentor Supervisors and Employees to build capacity within you team.
- Manage the execution of planned Coal Plant maintenance activities to ensure both the weekly production and maintenance plans are achieved while ensuring that equipment operating hours are maximised and production losses minimised.
- Develop solutions to improve the safety and reliability of equipment on site.
- Understand the work management process and work within the guidelines and expectations to achieve the weekly planned and breakdown schedule.
- Ensure all equipment is consistently operating at its optimal capacity with all failures investigated and actions implemented to mitigate future occurrences. Investigate root causes of failures in business or operating processes.
- Maintaining and delivering on Maintenance budget
- Provide visible leadership, advice and support in relevant function or process area;
About you:
- Tertiary and/or Trade Qualifications will be highly regarded
- Minimum 5+ years in supervisory roles
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team to deliver high performance outcomes safely.
- Contractor Management experience
- Strong communication skills
- G1, G2, G3, G8, G9 competencies advantageous
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
- SAP and Xeras experience is desirable
