The role:

As a Supply Superintendent, you will lead and optimise supply chain operations by effectively managing procurement, inventory, and logistics processes. You will develop and implement plans to enhance purchasing and warehouse activities, ensuring alignment with operational needs and fostering a high-performance culture. Your responsibilities will include managing resources in accordance with operational budgets, maintaining inventory levels, and communicating health and safety risks. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement plans to enhance activities within the Purchasing and Warehouse areas to achieve forecast targets.

  • Manage resources effectively in support of operational or divisional budgets while monitoring and controlling costs.

  • Ensure a cost-effective Warehouse that meets operational needs and complies with procurement guidelines.

  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and manage planning and coordination of resources.

  • Identify and communicate health and safety risks, demonstrating positive leadership within the department.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About You:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CIPS) are highly desirable.

  • Have a minimum of 10 years' experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics.

  • Have experience in developing and managing relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure optimal service levels and compliance with contracts.

  • Have familiarity with relevant laws and regulations affecting procurement and supply chain operations, including environmental and safety regulations.

  • Have knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) used to measure supply chain effectiveness and efficiency, with a track record of improving these metrics.

  • Have a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.

  • Team player with an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute.
