Job Description
We are seeking a Purchasing Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Purchasing Coordinator, you will assist with purchasing activities across the operation as part of a small, dynamic team.
About the Role
-
Manage the daily purchasing activities for goods and services, which include direct charge, store stock & repairable purchasing in accordance with the HVO commitments policy, Glencore Group Supply Policy and legislative compliance.

Create, maintain, and update outline agreements in SAP to ensure accurate and up-to-date data.

Ensure requisitions are converted to purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.

Validate the accuracy of purchase orders before transmitting order i.e. correct price, delivery date, description.

Issue Request for Quotations in-line with supply policy, evaluate & select successful vendor.

Expedite overdue orders, manage changes as required, and communicate updates to requisitioners and vendors.

Manage and maintain purchasing, repairable and shared inboxes

Demonstrate savings and maintain records in the master register.

Act as point of contact for all site purchasing related matters.

Manage relevant workflows and assist Accounts Payable to reconcile invoices and accounts to ensure timely supplier payments

Maintain accurate records and audit trails for tasks performed.

Utilise site approved document control systems.

Utilise the HVO vendor portal to manage the setup and maintenance of new and existing vendors to ensure the smooth flow of goods and services to the mine.

Any other duties, as requested from time to time, to ensure a safe, efficient and productive operation.

About You

Extensive knowledge and experience with SAP MM and PM Modules.

Demonstrated experience in procurement and/or purchasing.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.

High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

The ability to act decisively, honestly, and with integrity.

Effective time management skills; self-motivated and capable of working autonomously.
