Collinsville Open Cut, located 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, is a long-life surface mine producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for export. The operation is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck-and-shovel terrace operation. We’re seeking a proactive Health, Safety & Training (HST) Systems Officer to support the smooth operation of our safety and training systems, compliance, reporting, and site operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain electronic safety and training systems (CMO, SharePoint, Workday), ensuring accurate data entry and timely updates.

  • Maintain contractor compliance, issue reports, and follow up as required.

  • Lead and maintain document control, including reviews, approvals, versioning, and accessibility.

  • Maintain the statutory Mine Record in line with QLD legislation, including noticeboards.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly HST reports, dashboards, and submissions; identify trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Communicate safety and training information to teams and stakeholders, supporting compliance and continuous improvement.

  • Provide general HST support, including uniforms, stationery, scanning/uploading records, and system training.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a coal mining environment is desirable.

  • Strong administration and systems management skills, with confidence in electronic systems (CMO, SharePoint, Workday, or similar).

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work proactively with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communicator who enjoys supporting others and improving processes.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite.
